Ministries we support:
There are so many wonderful ministries and missionaries that need love, prayer, and financial support. Unfortunately, we cannot financially support them all, though we do have a relationship with many of them and we love them and support them in prayer. These are the ministries that we are able to support regularly as a congregation.
David and Joyce Moore, Abba House, Chiang Mai, Thailand
The Moores heard the call of God and sold all they had in order to leave their home in the US and move to Thailand. They are spending their "retirement" giving of themselves in order to rescue girls from the sex slave industry. They house these girls, feed them, clothe them, help them get an education, and teach them about God. We are proud to introduce you to our friends and former members of our congregation.
In this picture, Dave and Joyce are posing with the girls that are currently living with them at Abba House. For more information about this ministry, please go to www.abbahousefoundation.com.

Galen and Vada Scott, Hearts Ablaze, Merida, Mexico
The Scotts responded to God's call nearly 20 years ago to spread the gospel in Mexico and beyond. They have raised both of their daughters in Mexico. Their oldest daughter and her husband (Eric and Alicia Hadley) have recently moved to Merida to be a part of the ministry. Their younger daughter, Andrea, still lives with them and is also part of the exciting things going on at their church, Torre Fuerte (Strong Tower). The ministry team at Torre Fuerte has many projects around the Yucatan area, and they are currently in the process of building facilities on their grounds for a bible school to train pastors to go into the rest of the world and preach the gospel. We are also proud to introduce these friends and former members of our congregation to you.
The picture below from left to right is (back row) Galen Scott and Eric Hadley, and (front row) Andrea Scott, Vada Scott, and Alicia Hadley. Wellsville Family Worship Center, Helping Hands Food Ministry
Helping Hands has been in operation at Wellsville Family Worship Center since September of 2005. We work hard to help those in our community and the surrounding areas by giving them food in order to stretch their grocery budget so they can spend some of that money in other areas where there may be a need. We have monthly distributions at the church on the third FULL weekend of the month. These distributions are on Saturday mornings from 10:30 to 1:30. We also offer emergency food assistance to those who are in immediate need.
Helping Hands operates solely on a donation basis. We take donations of food, baby items, and money. If you would like to volunteer with us, if you would like to donate to this ministry, or if you need help and would like more information, please contact Tami Hernandez at tami@agchurches.org, or by phone at 913-980-9456. If you would like to be sure of the next distribution date, please look for the link on our calendar of events page.
Marriage Encounter, Pastor Curtis and Sue Wright
Pastor Curtis and Sue have been involved with the Marriage Encounter Ministry through the Assemblies of God for several years. Marriage Encounter is a weekend away from home, family, and responsibilities. Here, in a comfortable, secluded environment, a couple is guided in the discovery of a new way of communication that will help them know each other better. It is not a retreat, but a program designed to give couples the opportunity to examine their lives together, their strengths and weaknesses, and their attitudes toward each other and their families. This ministry is designed not only for marriages that are struggling, but is a great way to enhance an already wonderful and healthy marriage.
For more information, please use the information on the "Contact Us" page to talk to Pastor Curtis, or go to www.agme.org.
