WELLSVILLE FAMILY WORSHIP CENTER

Meet Our Church Leadership Team!

Senior Pastors Curtis and Sue Wright moved to Wellsville in August of 1989 to become the pastors at WFWC. They raised their 5 children here. The Wrights are very active in the community and serve in roles at the Wellsville Joint Recreation Commission and the Wellsville Middle/High School. They are also very involved with the Assembly of God Marriage Encounter Ministry.

Greeter/Men's Minister Mike Holtwick has been attending WFWC since March of 2008. He loves meeting new people and helping them find their niche at WFWC. Mike also has a passion for gathering the men together and helping them learn more about being a Godly husband, father, and man of God.

Women's Ministers Sue Wright and Connie Rush have been teamed up since September of 2007 to help women grow in their knowledge of the Bible and in their relationships with God. They also have a heart to see women helping other women in these areas and work hard to facilitate these relationships.

Young Adult Pastors Micah Mason and Tami Hernandez share a desire to see young adults reach their full potential for the Lord. They are focused primarily on young people from 11th grade through the age of sophomores in college, though they welcome the opportunity to minister to older college aged young people as well.

Youth Pastors Isaac and Kim Burbank and Worship Leader Josiah Mason are teaming up to bring a real, relevant, Christ-centered experience to youth from 7th grade to 10th grade. Isaac and Kim began working with the youth in September of 2007. Josiah has been a part of our regular worship team for a few years and is ready to serve the youth in this capacity.

Children's Pastor Jessica Mason finished her degree in Children's Ministry in May of 2007 at Christ For the Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas. She returned to WFWC and began working with the Kingdom Keeper's Children's Ministry in March of 2008. Jessica believes in helping children to pursue Christ and achieve their God-given callings while having fun along the way.

Worship Pastor Micah Mason has been leading the worship team for several years and now serves as the Worship Pastor. Micah has a heart to see people of all ages growing closer to God through worship and allowing God to draw them into His presence through music.

Helping Hands Director Tami Hernandez has been a part of WFWC for most of her life. She helped to begin the Helping Hands Food Ministry in September of 2005 and continues as the director. Tami strives to help people in Wellsville and the surrounding communities to stretch their grocery budget and desires to show them the love of God in the process.

Church Secretary Colleen Newell has been at WFWC since she came to know the Lord in May of 1982. She has served as the church secretary almost since that time. Colleen has a passion for ministry and has helped in or headed up many of the ministries of the church throughout the years. She continues in this capacity even though she is now employed full-time with a company outside of the community.

Multimedia Specialist Brett Shelton works hard to be sure that our sound system is working correctly, he runs the projector system, and puts together some of the greatest videos you will ever see. He does whatever it takes to help make our church experience more relevant to the technological world around us.

Articles & Resources for Church Workers

  • Starting a Greeter Program
Four years ago I accepted the challenge of evangelism chairperson for our church. One of the first programs the pastor and I developed was the Sunday morning greeter program.
  • Motivating the Right Person into the Right Ministry
One of the greatest challenges for most leaders is selecting and motivating the right people into the right ministry positions in hopes of minimizing turnover and frustration. Even in the smaller church with limited personnel, it is important to coordinate people and ministry as much as possible.
  • “I TRIED, BUT NO ONE EVER CALLED ME”
“I tried, but no one ever called me” are painful words for a leader who has much work to do and not enough people willing to do it. These words are painful for the person who wanted to contribute, but was never called. These are also painful words for a person who is committed to helping people connect and contribute in meaningful ways within the church.
